Anastasios Virvilios

Anastasios Virvilios is a member of the Piraeus Bar Association since 1998, administered to stand before the Supreme Courts of Greece. He studied law at the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) and holds an MSc (with distinction) in Banking and Finance Law from the Dept. of Banking and Financial Management of the University of Piraeus. Currently, he is a senior partner in AVP LAW PARTNERS & Associates - Law Cooperative. 

Anastasios Virvilios is highly specialised in handling cases of corporate and commercial law, public law and public procurement practice, as well as civil and criminal litigation and arbitration. He has served as member of the ad hoc Legislative Committees of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport, and Networks (2008-09) and the Ministry of Development and Competitiveness (2013). He has also been the Legal Counsel of Public Entities, organisations and institutions of the Ministries of Health and Education, including the Special Accounts for Research Grants of NKUA and the University of Piraeus. In the context of public procurement, he has successfully represented large corporations and Academic Institutions in court (including the Court of Justice of the European Union, the Council of State, the Court of Audits, and the Administrative Court of Appeal). Anastasios Virvilios was a member of the Editorial Board of two books of P. Degleris, entitled “Injunctive Procedure of law 2522/1997 and Public Works, Procurements and Services” (2005) and “Law of Public Services and Public Procurements” (2009), published by Sakkoulas Publishing Office. He speaks English, German and French. He is married and has two daughters.
