Spyros Spyrou, Member
Spyros Spyrou is a Professor of Finance at Athens University of Economics & Business (AUEB), a Visiting Professor at Audencia Business School (France), and the Director of the Behavioral Finance Research Laboratory (BeFin Lab). At AUEB he has served in various administrative positions, such as Head of Department (Accounting & Finance), Director of Postgraduate Studies (Accounting & Finance), Member of University Senate, Deputy Rector, among other posts. Before AUEB he worked at the University of Durham (UK), Middlesex University Business School (UK), and Brunel University (UK). He holds a BSc in Economics from the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens, a PhD in Finance and an MSc in Business Finance from Brunel University (UK). His research interests are in the area money and capital markets, investor behavior, behavioral finance, and derivative markets, among other. He has published research papers in international academic journals such as: Journal of Banking & Finance, Energy Economics, Journal of Financial Stability, Journal of Business Finance & Accounting, Energy Journal, European Financial Management, Journal of Futures Markets, Review of Behavioral Finance, International Review of Financial Analysis, Derivatives, Use, Trading & Regulation, among others. He is a referee for academic journals, in the scientific committee of international conferences, etc.
