George Leledakis, Member
George Leledakis is an Associate Professor of Finance at the Department of Accounting and Finance of Athens University of Economics and Business. Formerly, he was Researcher in the Department of Research and Development at the Athens Stock Exchange, and has held previous appointment as a Research Fellow at Warwick Business School of Warwick University, UK. His holds a BSc in Business Administration from Athens University of Economics and Business, MA in Money, Banking and Finance, from Management School University of Sheffield, UK and PhD in Finance from Warwick Business School, UK. His PhD thesis was supported financially by the State Scholarships Foundation of Greece (ΙΚΥ).
George’s research and teaching interests are in the areas of Corporate Finance and Portfolio Management. In particular, his current research focuses on the mergers and acquisitions, dividend policy, share repurchases, IPOs, venture capital, crowdfunding, textual analysis in finance, the cross-sectional influences on security returns and multi-factor model of equity risk and their use in portfolio management.
He has published in the Financial Analysts Journal, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Quantitative Finance, The European Journal of Finance, International Review of Financial Analysis, International Review of Economics and Finance, Journal of Multinational Financial Management, The Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance among other journals.
